Former UN inspector: Kiev must provide medical evidence related to Bucha’s dead bodies before accusing Russia
Moscow (ST): Former UN inspector Scott Ritter stressed that the Kiev authorities must provide medical evidence before making any allegations about the events in Bucha.
Commenting on publications in the US media about alleged “Russian military killings” of civilians in Bucha, Ritter, a former inspector for monitoring the removal of Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, said, according to RIA Novosti: “Ukrainian authorities adopt propaganda statements and must submit forensic reports related to Bucha’s bodies.”
He added, “The basic medical examination will answer three main questions, namely the time and cause of death and whether the body was moved after death.. Let’s see if the Ukrainian side provides verifiable medical data to support its accusations,” stressing that objective observers should “wait.” examination results before naming the perpetrators.”
He continued, “Now public opinion is being formed in the West by the active use of information warfare tactics in a process aimed solely at presenting Russia in a negative light.”
Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry denied the Kiev authorities’ accusations of killing civilians in Bucha in the Kiev region, and confirmed that the Russian Armed Forces had completely left Bucha on March 30, and “evidence of the crimes” appeared only on the fourth day, when the Ukrainian Security Service employees arrived in the city.
