Russian Federation Council: The presence of US weapons of mass destruction in Europe is a threat to Europe itself

Today the Russian Federation Council affirmed that the presence of US weapons of mass destruction in Europe represents a threat to Europe, including Russia

The Council considered that Poland’s declaration of its readiness to deploy US nuclear weapons on its territory as a provocation.

It is known that the Americans have deployed nuclear weapons in 6 of their military bases in 5 European countries, namely Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Turkey,” Deputy Chairman of the Council Konstantin Kosachevtold RIA Novosti news agency

He said that his country had more than once suggested to the United States to reach a conclusion agreement on the inadmissibility of deploying nuclear weapons outside the national territory, but it did not receive a response.

He pointed out that the current initiative of a high-ranking Polish politician is a new provocation aimed only to remind the Americans that Poland is loyal to them, and secondly, to deepen Poland’s position under the American nuclear umbrella.

The Polish Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the ruling party in Warsaw Jaroslaw Kaczynski recently announced that Poland is ready to deploy US nuclear weapons on its territory.
