On April 3rd, the head of the Russian negotiating delegation with the Ukrainian side, Vladimir Medinsky, announced that the authorities in Ukraine have become more realistic in their approach to the issue of its country’s neutral and non-nuclear status.

Medinsky said that the draft treaty is not yet ready for a summit and that talks between the Russian and Ukrainian sides will resume tomorrow, Monday.

“The Ukrainian side has become more realistic in its approach to issues related to the neutral and non-nuclear status of Ukraine, but the draft treaty is not yet ready for submission, and a summit meeting was held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky,” Russia Today website quoted Medinsky as saying in a statement

Medinsky noted that the diplomatic and military experts of Ukraine are far behind in confirming the draft text on the agreements that have already been reached at the political level.
