North Korean officials: “Syria Will Achieve Victory Over Plotters.”

Marking the 60th anniversary of the Democratic Korean people’s victory in the “Great Fatherland Liberation War”, Al-Baath Arab Socialist Party (BASP) delegation is on a visit to Democratic Korea to participate the friendly country celebration. It was received on Thursday July the 25th 2013 by Democratic Korea’s President, Kim Jong-Un, who affirmed his country’s absolute solidarity with Syria in the face of imperialism and stressed that US-Israel sinister scheme will not be able to defeat Syria.

During a meeting with BASP Assistant Secretary General, Abdullah al-Ahmar,  president presidium of the supreme People’s Assembly of Democratic  Republic of Korea President, Kim Yong Nam, stressed his appreciation of Syria’s stances under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, in defending its rights in the face of the fierce imperialistic war waged against it. Yong Nam also affirmed his country’s confidence in Syria’s ability to overcome the crisis and achieve victory over conspirators, armed terroristic groups, and their backers.

Both sides discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the world; particularly aggression on Syria as well as cooperative relations between the two countries.

“We in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea consider ourselves in the same trench with the brothers and friends in Syria facing this aggressive war waged against it,” said Yong Nam.

The meeting also reviewed the latest developments in the Korean Peninsula, and the challenges facing it due to hegemonic and aggressive powers threatening Syria and Democratic Korea national security and stability. Al-Ahmar and Yong Nam stressed maintenance of mutual support in international arenas to boost bilateral cooperation, assuring that both Syrian and Korean peoples will achieve victory over the conspiracy plotted against them.

al-Ahmar discussed with Workers’ Party Secretary, Chairman of the Supreme People’s Assembly, Choe Thae-bok, mutual relations between the two parties and the means to improve them.

Thae-bok said that cooperation and friendship relations with Syria, are considered a source of mutual pride for both peoples and leaderships, affirming his country’s solidarity with Syria in facing all plotters, particularly the US and its tools.
