Gaseva: We will complete the procedures for applying to join Russia next April
On March 31st, South Ossetian presidential spokeswoman Dina Gaseva announced that her country will complete all legal procedures to request accession to Russia after the presidential elections scheduled for April 10.
“All legal procedures regarding accession will be completed after the presidential elections,”Russia Today quoted Gaseva as saying.
The President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, had confirmed earlier that his country would soon take legal steps towards joining Russia, describing this step as a “strategic goal.”
