The Pentagon allocates financial support to terrorist organizations in the 2023 budget

Washington (ST): The US Department of Defense, “the Pentagon,” allocated $542 million from its 2023 budget for a program to train and equip terrorist groups, including the armed “SDF” militia, in Syria.

Media sources reported that US President Joe Biden submitted a draft budget for the fiscal year 2023 to Congress for approval, including $813 billion for defense spending.

According to documents related to the Pentagon’s budget, an amount of $542 million has been allocated for the training and equipment program included for allegedly combating the terrorist organization “ISIS” in Syria and Iraq, without specifying the share allocated to each organization.

The US administration had allocated $500 million for the training and equipment program in the 2022 fiscal year, including $177 million to support terrorist groups in Syria.
