Solidarity stands in Lattakia and Tartous in support for Russia

Citizens in the Syrian provinces of Lattakia and Tartous on Monday organized solidarity stands to express their support for Russia in the confrontation of the US and western policies.

Participants in the two rallies carried the Syrian and Russian flags as well as many placards condemning the aggressive US and western policies against Russia which aim at undermining the country’s security and stability.

The participants stressed that the US-led western hysterical media campaign against Moscow aims at distorting the image of Russia which, through its military operation in Ukraine, seeks to protect civilians and preserve the Russian security and stability.

“We are gathering here to express our solidarity with the Russian leadership and people who have been supporting Syria in its war against terrorism. Our stance comes from our conviction that Russia has the right to protect its security against the aggressive policies of the NATO,” some participants stressed.
