Opening of the exhibition of the products of working women in Lattakia

On March 27th, the Executive Office of the Trade Union of Lattakia Governorate opened an exhibition (Marketing the Products of Working Women) at Al Qasr Hotel

The exhibition includes works and handicrafts for women who underwent training courses organized by the union.

Secretary of the Trade Union of LattakiaGovernorate and Head of the Working Women’s Committee, Laila Asbarsaid that the exhibition will continue until next Tuesday and is the result of the (Supporting Family Economics) project launched by the General Federation of Trade Unions to hold exhibitions and help working women in marketing their products. 

 

In turn, Rawnaq Nassif, Secretary of the Office of the State and Municipal Workers Union in Lattakiasaid that the women who underwent the courses held by the union offered a variety of distinct handicrafts, especially in terms of cleaning and sewing tools. 

Malikah Deeb, who is participating in the exhibition with carpets made on the loom, indicated that the exhibition provided her with an important opportunity to present and market her works

Maryam Saqqati, a participant in the soap and detergent industry, explained that the exhibition provided her with the opportunity to engage with the market and learn about the tastes of consumers through direct dealing with them. 

Dima Omran displayed her products of jam, juices, pickles and cheese, noting that the exhibition was an incentive for women to work and produce

Lynn Komen and Hala Alwazah presented crochet crafts and accessories, stressing that the exhibition was an opportunity to market their products and achieve financial returns that would help them support their families.
