Israeli settlers, backed by the Israeli occupation forces, on Saturday attacked Palestinians in the northern West Bank village of Asira al-Qiblya, south of Nablus. Wafa News Agency reported.
The agency quoted Ghassan Daghlas, the official in charge of the settlements file in the north of the West Bank, as saying that Israeli settlers attacked the houses of Palestinians in the eastern section of Asira al-Qiblya village and when the residents confronted them, the occupation forces intervened to protect the settlers and attacked the residents.
Dozens of residents suffered from suffocation after the occupation forces fired teargas in their direction.
According to Doghlas, the occupation forces held the head of the village council.
Meanwhile in Gaza, The occupation naval forces attacked Palestinian fishermen in the sea of the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to WAFA News Agency, the occupation naval forces opened their machinegun fire on the boats of the Palestinian fishermen off Al-Sudaniyeh area, west of the Gaza, and off Rafah area in the south of the strip, forcing the fishermen to leave the sea.
