The Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for the activation of the international protection system for the Palestinians

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to quickly activate the international protection system for the Palestinian people and stop the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation against them.

In a statement today, the Foreign Ministry stated that the international community’s double standards are behind the escalation of the Israeli occupation’s terrorism against the Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank, stressing the need to stop the policy of double standards and take the necessary measures to compel the occupation to stop its terrorism.

The Foreign Ministry condemned the settlers’ attacks, the most recent of which was burning a mosque in the town of Zita Jama’in in Nablus, storming a mosque and a clinic, and damaging the tires of a number of vehicles in Michmas village, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, warning of the danger of such attacks, especially during the upcoming Ramadan month.
