Bishop Hanna : Carrying Arms against Syrian Army and People Serves Zionist Scheme
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM,(ST)_ Archbishop of Sebastia of the Greek Orthodox Church Atallah Hanna stressed that those who carry arms against the Syrian people and army , under any pretext, are but tools that serve the Zionist project aims at dividing and controlling the Arab region .
In an interview with al-Mayadeen TV yesterday Bishop Hanna added that those who kidnap, kill and slaughter in Syria are the enemies of the Arab nation, as is the case with Israel, pointing out that killing and violence exercised against the people and the state in Syria has nothing to do with any fair demands but aims to destroy the Syrian state.
He pointed out that national opposition is the one that is committed to the national ceiling , hoists the Syrian flag not that of the French mandate nor receive orders from abroad.
He warned that some Western countries issuing visas to displaced Syrian Christians in Lebanon under humanitarian pretexts , falls within the deliberate global Zionist scheme to empty the region of Arab Christians and has nothing to do with any human dimension .
He noted sides working to eradicate Christian Existence in the Levant as true voices, championing for the victory of the Palestinian people and the liberation of Jerusalem.
He called on Arab Christians in the Levant , either in Syria or other Arab states to stay at home and defend it along with fellow Muslims.
” The kidnapping of bishops Paul Yazigi and John Abraham in rural Aleppo and killing Christian clergy men and destruction of churches and houses of worship aims at undermining coexistence and serves no one but the nation’s enemies, particularly Israel.” Bishop Hanna underlined.
Bishop Hanna stressed that the racist policies of the Israeli occupation entity aims at the extermination of the Palestinian people in occupied Jerusalem, explaining that the Arabs now have lost the true compass to that holy Jerusalem is occupied and must be restored.
He continued that the issue of negotiations with the Israeli occupation is just a waste of time and for the benefit of occupation to expand Judaistion and confiscation of Palestinian lands.
