Moscow (ST): Director General of the Russian Space Agency, Dmitry Rogozin, said that the Japanese sanctions imposed on the Russian spacecraft production company affect the dates of its establishment, pointing out at the same time that they can be avoided.
TASS news agency quoted Rogozin as saying: “Japan has imposed sanctions against the Russian Aerospace Systems Corporation of Roscosmos, which are aimed at reducing its ability to fulfill its obligations in the implementation of defense and government contracts for the benefit of Russian satellite builders.”
Rogozin pointed out that these sanctions have been expected for a long time and said, “They will be avoided through the ongoing import substitution program, which will limit their impact on the timing of the creation of spacecraft.”
