Iranian Foreign Ministry: The political solution is the only solution to the Yemeni crisis

On March 24th, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reiterated that the only political solution is to settle the Yemeni crisis, noting that Tehran supports any efforts to lift the siege and establish a ceasefire in Yemen.

In a statement on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the Saudi aggression against Yemen, the ministry said criticized the anti-human crime perpetrated by the coalition of aggression against Yemen.

The statement said that the continuation of arms deals by Western protectors, especially America, and the practice of double standards and a biased view in the UN Security Council, led to the continued violation of all laws International and human rights in Yemen.

The statement reiterated Iran’s support for any kind of just and practical efforts and initiatives to lift the siege, establish a ceasefire, start Yemeni-Yemeni talks without foreign interference, and settle the crisis under the supervision of the Yemenis.
