On March 21st, the Martyr Foundation, Latakia Branch, honored 300 martyr mothers in the celebration it held at Dar Al-Assad for Culture on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
In a speech on behalf of the mothers of the martyrs, Basma Balidi, the mother of the martyr Jaafar Zuwaid, said: “The most beautiful mothers who waited for their sons and they returned martyrs.”
In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Martyr Foundation, Latakia Branch, FadiAlloush, stated: “There are no words that express the greatness of the mother, so how about if she was a saint and the mother of a martyr who narrated with his pure blood the soil of the dear homeland, Syria,”
Alloush indicated that the Foundation serves the families of the martyrs by holding free education courses and supporting the outstanding students of the martyrs’ sons, in addition to providing medical services.
The mothers of the martyrs, Shadi Haj Youssef, Abdul Qader Shaqrouf, Najdat Shakouhi and Ali Daye, expressed the greatness and sanctity of the Syrian Mother’s Day, who gave her son a sacrifice for the country, and said: “ We are cherished and proud of the testimony of our children, and words cannot describe them. God protect Syria, its people, its army and its leader.”
For her part, the mother of the martyr KafaKanaan expressed the greatness of Mother’s Day, which is celebrated by the whole world, but in Syria it is distinguished as the holiday of the mother of the heroic martyr who presented her son wrapped in the national flag so that he would remain free and generous.
For his part, Suleiman Khaddour, the father of the two martyrs, Muhannad and Husam, said: “This Eid is the Eid of the mother of all Syria, which will forever remain proud thanks to the blood of the righteous martyrs. “
Hindia Jleiko, the mother of the two martyrs, Majd and Karam Qara Falah, said: “May God have mercy on the martyrs and bring this Eidback to all mothers with a thousand goodness.”
The celebration included the screening of a documentary film that included excerpts from a speech by President Bashar al-Assad on the greatness of martyrdom and martyrs, pictures of the heroism of the Syrian Arab Army in their war against terrorism, and a lyrical paragraph for the children’s group “Syria Baladna” led by Nader Abdel Rahman.
