President Al-Assad meets Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

ABU DHABI, March. 18, (ST) -President Bashar Al-Assad met on Friday Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. 
 
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed said that the visit of President Al-Assad and the accompanying delegation comes within the joint keenness on continuing brotherly consultation and  coordination between the two countries over different issues. 
 
He asserted that Syria is one of the main bases of the Arab security so the UAE adopts a firm stance towards supporting  Syria’s stability and territorial  integrity. 
 
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in addition stressed the importance of the withdrawal of all foreign forces that illegally exist in Syria, referring to the UAE’s keenness on enhancing cooperation with Syria in the fields that meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples. 
 
For his part, President Al-Assad affirmed that the UAE plays a big role due to its balanced policies towards international causes, saying that its is important to adhere to our countries’ principles and sovereignty and to our peoples’ interests to protect our region as  the world is changing and moving towards instability. 
 
President Al-Assad and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed reviewed brotherly relatiins and the joint coordination and cooperation between the two countries for the mutual interest of them and for consolidating stability and security in the region. 
 
The two sides also exchanged viewpoints about  international and regional developments of the common interest.
