The Lebanese Minister of Agriculture from Lattakia: The importance of exchanging experiences with Syria

Latakia (ST): The Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abbas Hajj Hassan, affirmed that what brings Lebanon and Syria together is a real partnership in various fields, expressing his hope that bilateral cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the agricultural sector will continue and benefit from the Syrian experience in this field.

Hajj Hassan said in a joint press conference with the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Engineer Muhammad Hassan Qatna, after a visit to the research station of the Arab Center for the Studies of Dry Areas and Dry Lands (ACSAD) in Al-Sin, “We are partners in humanity and our enemy is the Israeli occupation, and our partnership in the region begins with Syria to build man and a society that utters terrorism.”

The Lebanese minister commended the contributions made by the Syrian state to Lebanon and thanked the Syrian leadership, government and people for their continuous giving, and said, “Every tree offered by Syria is planted as a project in the region and represents a participation that has a great impact on protecting nature.”

In turn, Eng. Qatna stressed that Syria is keen on strengthening brotherly relations with Arab countries, indicating that cooperation with Lebanon aims to achieve the interests of both countries and that distributing plants and reforestation of lands is a rebuilding, whether in Syria or Lebanon, indicating Syria’s readiness to extend a helping hand, provide assistance, and share its pioneering experience in the field of fruit and forest planting production.
