The bitterness of displacement due to the Turkish occupier did not discourage the teacher Reem from her duties

Reem Abdel Rahim Khalaf, a Syrian teacher, moves early from her residence in the vanguards camp, east of Al-Hasakah, on a daily basis, to reach her school in the city center on time.

Reem Abdel Rahim Khalaf, a resident of Ras al-Ain is residing in the vanguard camp with thousands of families displaced from the Ras al-Ain area.

Reem spent 15 years teaching Arabic in Ras al-Ain schools. Reem lives in the camp for the displaced which means that everything is exceptional. There are difficulties in entering, leaving, long distances from the workplace and few means of transportation. She has to walk long distances on foot to arrive on time, but all forms of suffering and displacement cannot prevent her from performing her duties and assuming her responsibilities towards the students. Reem believes it is necessary to complete the education process, deliver the message of science and build generations.”

On Teacher’s Day, teacher Reem hopes that she will return to her home in Ras al-Ain after the defeat of mercenaries and occupiers, and that all Syrian schools will return to normal.
