Moscow (ST): Director of the Fourth European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Yury Plebson stressed that the Russian military operation in Ukraine is continuing and will achieve its goals.
“Europe will have to pay the price for the damage done to its national interests and to the bilateral relations that have developed over generations with Moscow,” Plebson said in an interview with Sputnik.
Earlier, Deputy Speaker of the Russian State Duma and head of the Russian parliamentary delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Peter Tolstoy, announced that a decision had been taken to withdraw Russia from the Council of Europe, blaming NATO countries for undermining dialogue.
On the other hand, Plebson pointed out that Slovenia and Croatia supplying arms to Ukraine would be a risk.
“The supply of lethal weapons by Slovenia and Croatia to Ukraine is a dangerous risk, and the owners must understand that this matter will backfire on them,” he said, adding that the plans announced by these countries to supply the Kiev regime with weapons are not understood and these steps may backfire against them with time.
