Russian Ministry of Defense announces liberation of 300 citizens detained by Ukrainian extremists in Nikolskoye village
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, until its eighteenth day, has put 3,687 Ukrainian military facilities out of service and has destroyed about 100 aircraft and 128 drones.
Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press conference that since the start of the military operation, 1,194 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 121 multiple launch missile systems, 443 field guns and mortars and 991 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
Konashenkov added that units of the Russian armed forces advanced up to 14 kilometers in one day, controlling the southern residential regions of Blagodatnoy, Vladimirovka, Pavlovka and Nikolskoye.
Konashenkov added that the Russian armed forces liberated about 300 citizens who were held hostage by extremists from the Ukrainian battalion Aidar in the Orthodox monastery of St. Nicholas and Vasilievsky in the village of Nikolskoye. Some of the nationalist extremists were killed, and the rest fled.
The Russian army continues to advance on several axes within the framework of its special operation in Ukraine, which has entered its eighteenth day, aimed at protecting Russia’s national security, protecting the residents of Donbass, and neutralizing and disarming Ukraine.
