Moscow, (ST) – The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said that during the past two days its members distributed more than 330 tons of humanitarian aid to the residents of Donbass and Ukraine.
RT website quoted the ministry as saying in a statement on Sunday that , “three convoys belonging to the ministry, including 42 humanitarian aid trucks with a total weight of more than 330 tons, were distributed in Ukraine and Donbass, which are facing a difficult situation.”
The ministry explained that this aid includes food and necessary cleaning materials. It stressed that these operations are conducted in accordance with international legislation related to the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The units of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Russian National Guard ensure the safety of movement of these convoys.
