Products for 110 female breadwinners in bazaar “goodness brings us together”

Handicrafts and embroideries in addition to clothing and food products, for more than 110 breadwinners are displayed in the bazaar “Goodness Brings Us Together”, which opened on Saturday at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus.

The Bazaar organizer Maram Al-Asha said to SANA that the bazaar organized by Lamset Hanan Development Association on the occasion of Mother’s Day under the title “Spring of tenderness”, will last for three days with the participation of more than one association. The bazaar aims to help these women develop their projects continuously according to the needs of the market.

Director of the Board of Trustees of “Sama’s Borders” initiative to support people with disabilities, Orouba Al-Kamali, said: “This bazaar is important in promoting the products of mothers who have children with disabilities, noting that “Sama’s Borders” initiative program aims to teach mothers the work of weaving and sewing so that they have a useful profession that secures financial assistance.”

For her part, Rana Kanawati from a group of handicrafts that trains women participating in the bazaar, pointed out that the training is free and is carried out in coordination with Dummar Central Incubator for Craft Arts, asserting that it constitutes an effective market for selling products and reaching the largest segment.

The visitors  underlined the importance of the bazaar in supporting women’s projects and in showing talents with quality products that keep pace with the developments of the times while preserving the spirit and originality of heritage.

It is noteworthy that the “Lamset Hanan” Development Association was established in 2014 and provides support to 700 families of martyrs, widows, needy families and the sick, sponsors about 800 orphans, and develops its development programs and projects in training and rehabilitation.
