Iran condemns Israeli aggression on Syrian territories

Tehran – The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry here on Wednesday condemned the Zionist regime for the Israel’s rocket attack on the vicinity of Damascus, Syria, which led to killing of two Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) defenders of holy shrines, IRNA reported.

Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed sympathy over the martyrdom of the two IRGC defenders of holy shrines.

 Such a criminal measure is rooted in the regime’s nature of aggression, occupation, and terror, the spokesman noted.

Khatibzadeh went on to stress that the regime’s reckless move will not remain unanswered.

Describing the Zionist regime of Israel as the one used to killing children, the spokesman said that one of the aims of the Resistance in the region is to hold this apartheid regime accountable for its inhumane crimes.

On Tuesday, the IRGC public relations office announced through a statement that two IRGC defenders of the holy shrines have been martyred in a criminal rocket attack carried out by the Zionist regime in the vicinity of the Syrian capital.
