The Russian Defense announces a truce to open humanitarian corridors and the exit of civilians from Ukrainian cities

Moscow-Sana (ST): The Russian Defense Ministry announced a truce from ten in the morning and opened humanitarian corridors from the cities of Kiev, Mariupol, Kharkov and Sumy.

“At the request of French President Manuel Macron of Russian President Vladimir Putin, we announce the imposition of a ceasefire after 10 am and the opening of humanitarian corridors from the cities of Kiev, Mariupol, Kharkov and Sumy”.

 

The statement called on the Ukrainian authorities to abide by the conditions, adding, “We call on the Ukrainian side to fulfill and abide by the conditions for establishing humanitarian corridors and to ensure the withdrawal of the civilian population and foreign citizens.

The statement noted that information on the establishment of humanitarian corridors in Ukraine is transmitted to the professional structures of the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international organizations.
