Several US-backed SDF militants killed in Deir Ezzor

A number of militants affiliated to the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia were killed and injured on Saturday in an attack by popular factions in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 Local sources told SANA that popular factions attacked with machineguns an SDF checkpoint in the village of Mashekh in Deir Ezzor northern countryside, killing and injuring a number of SDF militants.

Attacks on the SDF militia’s points continue in the areas under its control in the Syrian Al-Jazira region. A number of militants have been killed and injured over the past weeks.
