Bogdanov and Haddad discuss the latest developments in Syria and the region

Moscow (ST): The Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with Syria’s Ambassador to Russia, Dr. Riyad Haddad, the latest developments in Syria and the region and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields to serve the reconstruction process.

 

In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Bogdanov received Haddad and expressed his thanks to Syria’s supportive stance for the Russian Federation’s actions in defense of the civilian population in Donbas.

In a statement to news correspondent in Moscow, Ambassador Haddad said that he conveyed to the Russian side that Syria’s leadership, people, army and media support the steps of friendly Russia and its President Vladimir Putin in defending its legitimate positions and the rights of peoples and confronting the ambitions of the West and sponsors of terrorists in Syria and the neo-Nazis in Ukraine, condemning the unjust Western sanctions against the friendly Russian people.
