Russian forces take control of the Zaporozhye nuclear plant in Ukraine

Moscow (ST): The Russian military command today announced full control of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant located in southern Ukraine.

 

The command’s statement said, according to Sputnik: “The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was taken over after clashes with militants in its vicinity, where the operational teams carry out their usual work and are under the protection of the Russian armed forces.

The Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry announced earlier today that a fire broke out in some sections of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.
