DAMASCUS, March.1, (ST)-President Bashar Al-Assad received on Tuesday the Senior Advisor to Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Asghar Khaji and the accompanying delegation.
The talks between the two sides dealt with bilateral cooperation between Syria and Iran and the efforts being exerted by the institutes of the two countries to enhance cooperation in all fields, particularly the economic one, for the interest of the two countries’ friendly peoples.
Moreover, the two sides discussed the political process and the forthcoming Astana and Geneva talks, asserting the need to carry out this talks without foreign intervention and in accordance with clear strategy and policy to reach tangible results.
Khaji briefed president Al-Assad on the latest development in Iranian nuclear file and the process of negotiation that can have positive results if the western countries respects all requirements and obligations related to this file.
The recent regional and international developments and the crisis created by the West between the Russian Federation and Ukraine as well as the immoral practices being practiced by the West to fuel the crisis, including the transportation of extremists from various places in the world to that region and imposing sanctions on the Russian people similar to the ones that have been imposed on the Syrian and Iranian peoples were also on the table.
