MINSK, Feb.28, (ST)- Russian-Ukrainian negotiations on the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine kicked off in Belarus on Monday.
Sputnik News Agency reported that the two sides are in an area close to the Ukrainian-Belarusian border near the bank of the Pripyat River.
It indicated that the Ukrainian negotiating delegation arrived in the Belarusian city of Gomel on board two helicopters in order to start the scheduled negotiations with the Russian side.
The agency added that the Ukrainian delegation includes the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs.
On Sunday, the Kremlin declared that the Russian delegation, headed by Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, had arrived in Belarus for negotiations with the Ukrainians.
