Moscow (ST): Russia reiterated its permanent openness to dialogue on security issues, provided that the conversation is constructive and that the parties listen to each other.
Leonid Slutsky, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma, said in an interview with TASS today, “Russia has always preferred dialogue, especially in security issues. However, it sees an empty wall regarding its initiatives, and everything that is happening now is the result of the containment policy and the growth of Western hegemony, so we went out from negotiation, we advocate constructive negotiations where the parties listen to each other and are ready to reach compromises.”
“We were and still believe that all issues should be resolved by diplomatic means and not by imposing illegal unilateral sanctions,” Slutsky added.
