Lugansk: Ukraine bombed residential neighborhoods with prohibited weapons

Lugansk (ST): The Lugansk People’s Republic announced today that Ukrainian forces bombed its territory with weapons prohibited in accordance with the Minsk settlement agreement.

The Sputnik news agency quoted the People’s Defense Forces as saying in a statement: “Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 33 times yesterday and bombed 10 residential neighborhoods with weapons prohibited under the Minsk agreement”.

Although the two sides of the crisis in Ukraine reached agreements in Minsk under the auspices of the Normandy Group in 2014 and 2015 to resolve the crisis through dialogue and implement a set of reciprocal steps, the Kiev authorities did not abide by them, encouraged by Western countries.
