The Palestinian Foreign Ministry warns against an escalation of the Israeli aggression in light of the current international crisis

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned that the Israeli occupation would exploit the international community preoccupation with what is happening in Ukraine in order to escalate the Israeli aggression and crimes against the Palestinian people.

In a statement today, Thursday, the 24th of February 2022 the Palestinian Foreign Ministry expressed its concern that the occupation would escalate its seizure of more Palestinian land and deepen settlements in occupied Jerusalem, especially Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the rest of the West Bank.

The Foreign Ministry condemned the occupation’s attacks on the Palestinians, their land, schools, homes and sanctities, the most recent of which was the brutal attack by the occupation forces and settlers on the town of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus for the fourth consecutive day, and the demolition of two homes and a commercial facility in the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, stressing that these attacks prove the importance of providing urgent international protection for the Palestinian people who are the victim being under occupation.
