Syria, Chile to boost cultural ties

Culture Minister Lubana Mushaweh recently met with the Chilean Charge de Affairs in Syria Patricio Brickle and discussed with him the issue of reactivating the executive program for enhancing cultural ties between Syria and Chile.

The two sides focused on the Chilean participation in the Women’s International Film Festival due to be held next month in Damascus. They also discussed holding a cultural week for the Chilean cinema in Syria and agreed on translating a set of Chilean novels into Arabic within the framework of the ministry’s national plan for translation.

 Dr. Mushaweh and Mr. Brickle shed light on means of boosting cultural exchange and holding joint cultural and artistic activities that encourage further cooperation.
