Foreign Ministry: Syria denounces Prawer-Begin plan in the Negev

DAMASCUS, (ST)- “Syria condemns in the strongest terms the racist Prawer-Begin plan.

The said plan threatens the displacement of 36 Palestinian villages ,the relocation of  40,000 Palestinians in the Negev and the confiscation of  800,000 acres  of land,” the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry spokesman said Monday.

“the  plan represents ethnic cleansing and “Israel” is trying to “enact a law” for discrimination and racism. So this plan also aims at removing the Arab Palestinians from their villages to make way for the construction of new settlements, “the ministry spokesmen told local media.

” the Prawer-Begin plan is part of the racist ethnic cleansing policies that Israel since 1948 has followed  a policy of Judization against the Palestinians in occupied Palestine with the aim of making  the land as Jewish as possible and put an end to what is left of Palestine Cause with its historical, geographic, demographic and heritage dimensions, “added the spokesman.

The spokesman branded  the Prawer-Begin plan as “dangerous” and that it constitutes a blatant violation of the international law and its principles, particularly those related to human rights.

“Syria called  the international community to move promptly  to stop this plan and deter the occupation forces and hold them accountable for their unilateral violations of the international law,” underscored the spokesman.

He stressed Syria’s call to stand by the Palestinian Arab people in the face of these racist plan so as to stop implementation of the said measures   as they pose a threat to the security and stability in the region.
