Manama, (ST) – The Syrian Al- Jarih team player, Khalil Mahmoud won the gold medal in the petanque competition at the West Asian Paralympic Games currently being held in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
The Syrian Al- Jarih team players Firas Shiha, Amer Sammour and Issa Hassan won in the first round of the badminton competition.
It is noteworthy that 700 male and female players with special needs represent 12 teams are competing in seven sports in this tournament.
The Jarih Watan project is participating with a delegation for the first time with the Syrian national team for special sports in the West Asian Paralympic Championship, which will be held in the State of Bahrain during the period from February 18 to 27.
In the physical strength game, the Al-Jarih team player, Manhal Zarouf and Abd Al-Rahman Hamroush, Azzam Ahmed and Khalil Mahmoud in athletics, javelin Petanque throwing, Firas Shiha, Issa Hassan and Amer Sammour, are represented in badminton.
