Iran: NATO’s provocative actions make the situation in Ukraine more complicated

On February 22nd, The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that NATO’s interventions and provocative actions led by the United States have made the situation in Ukraine more complicated.

Commenting on the latest developments in Ukraine, ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said in a statement: “We follow issues related to this country with sensitivity. Iran calls on all parties to exercise restraint and considers that any action that would escalate tensions should be avoided.”

Khatibzadeh called on all parties to work towards settling differences through dialogue and peaceful means.
