Syria, China review cooperation in water sector

DAMASCUS, Feb.21, (ST)-The Minister of Water Resources Tammam Ra’ed discussed on Monday with China’s ambassador in Damascus Feng Biao the horizons of cooperation in the sector of water. 
 
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the minister briefed the ambassador on the priorities of the ministry in the field of carrying out water projects and water pumping stations and their effects on improving the levels of services being offered to citizens.
 
The minister also spoke about the importance of China’s participation in carrying out these projects, referring to the fact that the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the people of Syria affected the situation of water. 
 
For his part, the ambassador asserted the need to enhance historical relations and developing them at all sectors, especially through participation in reconstruction process and rehabilitation of damaged infrastructures.
