Syrian-Iranian talks in the field of water projects
On February 20th, the Minister of Water Resources, Dr. Tammam Raad, discussed with the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus Mahdi Sobhani and the accompanying economic delegation cooperation between the two countries regarding the water sector and ways to develop it.
During the meeting, Minister Raad indicated the continuity of cooperation between the two sides within the framework of agreements related to some large projects.
Minister Raad pointed out that technical and economic implementation mechanisms were discussed.
For his part, Ambassador Sobhani affirmed his country’s serious will to cooperate with Syria in this field, especially that Iranian companies have experience and competence in this regard.
Ambassador Sobhani referred to the repercussions of unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people, which affect their work in various sectors.
The meeting was attended by a number of technicians in the ministry.
