Citizens in Ghweiran neighborhood protest against the practices of the US-backed SDF militia

Citizens in Ghweiran neighborhood in the city of Hasakah took to the street in a demonstration to express their condemnation of the aggressive practices of the US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) separatist militia and the US occupation forces towards them.

The US occupation and the SDF militia continue to prevent these citizens from returning to their houses from where they were displaced due to the US occupation’s shelling on Ghweiran neighborhood last month.

SANA reporter said that the demonstrators gathered at Al-Basel Roundabout in Ghweiran neighborhood and chanted slogans condemning the SDF’s crimes of storming into houses and kidnapping many civilians under the pretext of searching for ISIS escapees from the Industrial High School-based prison. The demonstrators also condemned the destruction of civil buildings and institutions as well as service facilities by the occupation and the SDF militia.

The demonstrators renewed their call on the SDF separatist militia to leave their areas and stop its attacks and crimes against the locals, mainly the youths who are forcibly taken to the militia’s training camps in preparation for recruiting them within its ranks.
