Moscow calls on Washington to stop inciting the media

On February 17th, Russia called on the United States of America to stop inciting the media about the alleged military invasion of Ukraine and work to resolve the crisis in this country through diplomatic means. 

“We call on the US State Department not to fuel the military frenzy of journalists and to focus on resolving issues of the internal Ukrainian conflict through the diplomatic settlement,” the Russian embassy in Washington said in a statement. 

“The constant cycle of anti-Russian hysteria in the United States does not allow American colleagues to look at matters objectively, and self-hypnosis about the inevitability of a Russian attack on Ukraine continues,” the statement added.  

This statement comes in response to the recent interview of US State Department spokesman Ned Price to CNN, in which he tried to accuse Moscow of spreading false information about the situation on Ukraine.
