In response to the desire of the people… the opening of a settlement center in Deir Hafer in the eastern countryside of Aleppo
The committee concerned with settling the status of wanted persons held a meeting today, Tuesday, the 15th of February 2022 with tribal dignitaries of Deir Hafer area in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, in preparation for the opening of a new settlement center there based on the desire of the people of the area, in addition to the Maskana center.
During the meeting, the purpose and requirements of the settlement were clarified, and the questions raised by the conferees about the settlement centers were clarified, stressing the need to open more humanitarian crossings in the countryside of Aleppo and to provide possible facilities for farmers and livestock breeders in order to be able to return to their homes and carry out their work.
A member of the Executive Office of Aleppo Provincial Council stated that the new center in Deir Hafer area will be open next Sunday, based on popular demands by the residents there to expand the settlement process that preserves the rights of wanted persons under the roof of the homeland and enhances social intertwining and national fabric and contributes to social stability, which is a precursor to economic stability in the countryside.
The settlement procedures are carried out in cooperation between the competent authorities and the Governorate, through clan elders and the local community, and in coordination with administrative units, neighborhood committees and mayors in view of the need for the young people to return to the care of the state and to settle their conditions in order to contribute to the reconstruction.
It has been of importance to open a settlement center in the Deir Hafer area due to its geographical location in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. The opening of the humanitarian crossings, in addition to the new settlement center, enables wanted persons, especially those in areas where terrorist organizations and armed militias are spreading, to reach the center and settle their status through the facilities provided by the competent authorities.
