Al-Furat University branch in Hasakeh continues to suspend the semester exams in the university’s faculties in the city. SDF Militia backed by the American occupation forces continues its violations and seizes the headquarters of the faculties of economics and civil engineering, which were destroyed as a result of a bombing by the American occupation aircraft under the pretext of pursuing fugitives last month.
The Syrian Government efforts are currently focusing on restoring the headquarters and repairing the damage as soon as the SDF Militia exits the colleges of Furat University. Some of the headquarters of the University colleges were destroyed by the American occupation aircraft on a number of occasions and pretexts.
The SDF Militia’s insistence not to hand over the university headquarters and turn it into military sites threatens the future of thousands of students who will have to bear the negative effects and incur travel and transportation expenses between provinces.
The council of elders and dignitaries of the Syrian clans and tribes demanded, in a statement, to lift the hand of the separatist SDF Militia from education in the Hasakeh Province. The council considered these violations “a confiscation of the right to education and a crime that should not continue because it threatens the future of young generations and deprives the country of its future cadres that it needs in the battle of reconstruction.”
The bombing of the American occupation aircraft resulted in the total destruction of some university buildings belonging to Furat University in Hasakeh. Destruction prevailed the engineering institute, the conference amphitheater, the physics laboratory, the health laboratory in two colleges, the southern administration building of the the University, the two-storey southern block with the central warehouse, the Universities’ student affairs building as well as a number of the Universities’ buildings.
