International silence over the US coercive measures on Syria “a disgrace to humanity”: Egyptian solidarity committee

The Egyptian Popular Committee for Solidarity with the Syrian people has condemned the US coercive measures imposed on Syria, describing the international silence over these measures as “a disgrace to humanity”

“The American crime against the Syrian people violates all legal and humanitarian rules. These measures are unilateral and they are adopted away from any international legitimacy,” the committee said in a statement on Monday.

“The US administration wants to impose its mandate on the entire world and to apply its arrogant colonialist policies to serve the Zionist schemes in the region, added the committee, pointing out that one of the weapons of this administration is to suffocate peoples and create economic crises through imposing blockade on countries.

It clarified that Washington has failed to achieve its goals through its terrorist tools and proxies in the region’s countries; therefore it is trying to tighten the economic siege on the Syrian people and its national institutions and to threaten all the countries that think of dealing with Syria.

The committee stressed that Syria is immune to enemies’ conspiracies and it will triumph thanks to the people’s steadfastness, the sacrifices of the Syrian army and wise leadership of the country.
