Syria participates in InfO CUP 2022 International Programming Competition

 Damascus, (ST) –  With the participation of the students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad, the InfO CUP 2022 international programming competition, organized online by Romania, kicked off today.

164 male and female students within 41 teams representing 14 countries will participate in this 2-day competition.

The Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement that four students from the Syrian Scientific Olympiad informatics team are participating in this tournament, two of them -Amin Sherba from Damascus and Ahmed Tohme from Homs- have previous participations, while the other two-Farhan Hajj Younis and Amr Abareh from Homs- are new members who joined the national team early this year.

 The agency indicated that the team’s participation takes place inside agency’s headquarters in Damascus through two rounds, each lasts for four continuous hours.

This tournament marks the beginning of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad’s international participations for 2022. It provides an important opportunity for the promising talents in the Olympiad’s Informatics team to compete in programming and enhance their skills.
