SDF militia transports 45 children from Raqqa to military training camp in Aleppo

RAQQA, Feb.10, (ST)-The separatist “Syrian Democratic Forces” militia has transported scores of children from Al-Tabaqa city in the west of Raqqa to a training camp affiliated to the militia in Manbej city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the US-backed SDF militia had gathered 45 children aged between 14 and 16 in the camp of “Jazeret Ayda” in Al-Tabaqa city and then transported them to the “Al-Sad” camp in Manbej city in Aleppo countryside.

The children will receive military training for 9 months and then they will be given fake names and personal information in anticipation of international searching operations with regard to the recruitment of children.

Earlier, scores of civilians gathered outside the camp of “Jazeret Ayda” to ask about their children after they were informed that they are there. But they were dispersed by the militia as the camp is considered a military zone.

In December, 2021, the SDF militia [ Its Arabic acronym is QASAD] kidnapped 50 children from Qameshli city and took them to its camps in the east of city with the aim of recruiting them.

The families of the kidnapped children gathered outside the doors of UNICEF Office in Al-Seyahi district in Qameshli city to call for preventing the militia from kidnapping children and recruiting them because this act contradicts all international laws and humanitarian principles.
