HASAKAH, Feb.10, (ST)-In cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP), the branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) started on Thursday to distribute food aid to the residents of Gweran neighborhood in Hasakah city.
Head of the SARC’s branch Ali Mansour told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the first aid convoy entered into the neighborhood of Gweran and the volunteers started to distribute food parcels to the residents.
He added that another aid convoy will be sent to the residents of the neighborhood of Al-Zohor.
Recently, the residents of Gweran neighborhood were displaced to temporary shelters and safe areas because of the US strikes, which were carried out on the houses and buildings in the southern side of Hasakah city under the pretext of pursuing prisoners escaped from the “Al-Thanaweyeh Al-Senaeyeh” prison.
