Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that the West created the Ukrainian crisis to serve its interests and to export its internal crises, without offering any intellectual or practical solutions to them.
Zakharova noted in a television interview today that the tactics of the West are linked to the characteristics of the electoral cycle there, which prompts them to invent a new hypothetical story with the approach of the legislative elections.
Zakharova stressed that this makes “the short-term momentary interests at the present time a priority for them and therefore any means are used to ensure their achievement.”
Zakharova pointed out that the British authorities are using the Ukraine issue to divert the attention of the public in the United Kingdom from the internal crisis in the country, noting that Britain has witnessed during the past two months a clear crisis and the resignation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been called for.
