Syria strongly condemns the cowardly Israeli aggression on its territories

Syria has vehemently condemned the two Israeli missile attacks that targeted areas in Damascus countryside and its vicinity and caused the martyrdom of a Syrian soldier, the wounding of several others and material losses.

The Israeli enemy this dawn fired missiles from southeast Beirut and from the occupied Syrian Golan against some points in the vicinity of Damascus.

This aggression is a further violation of the principles of the international law and the UN Charter as well as the UN resolutions related to Lebanon and Syria, particularly the Security Council Resolution No. 350 for 1974 on disengagement, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement on Wednesday.

The ministry added that the aggression comes amid international silence and in the light of the continuous protection provided by the United States that encourages the Israeli occupation to repeat its attacks on Syria and undermine the credibility of the international community and the so-called international legitimacy, a matter that will inevitably lead to dangerously exacerbating the situation.

The Syrian government warns the Israeli entity against the continuity of such blatant reckless violations which pose a serious to the region’s stability and to international peace and security, the ministry went on to say.

Syria stresses that such cowardly attacks will backfire on their perpetrators and supporters, the ministry pointed out, affirming that Syria has the right to use all legitimate means to retaliate against these attacks and to hold all the parties behind them fully responsible for the repercussions of these crimes.
