The Council of the Dignitaries of the Syrian Tribes and Clans in Hasakah has condemned the US occupation’s crime of destroying the buildings of some faculties of Hasakah university, looting their contents and disrupting the exams at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering.
“Within the framework of investing in terrorism, the US occupation in cooperation with the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist Militia destroyed several higher education facilities in Hasakah, including the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Engineering Institute of Technical Monitors which caused the disruption of education and exams,” the council of dignitaries said in a statement on Wednesday.
It called on all the citizens in Hasakah governorate to speak out against the aggressive practices of the US occupation and the SDF militia and to urge the militia not to harm the schools and the faculties.
They stressed that confiscating the right of education is a crime that should stop as it undermines the future of the young generation which the homeland needs in the process of reconstruction.
The council also called on the international organizations to put an end to the US occupation-dictated SDF practices that aim at impeding education and turning the youths into mercenaries that serve the US aggressive scheme. It clarified that the US occupation knows well that transferring the university students in Hasakah to other universities is very costly in the light of the unfair blockade and the looting of national resources, mainly the Syrian oil.
The council urged the students in Hasakah to adhere to their right to continue their education and build their future and to reject the policies of the occupation and its tools.
