Syrian-Iranian talks to enhance cooperation in the field of health

Tehran (ST): Iranian Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, Dr. Bahram Ayn Allah, discussed with the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran, Dr. Shafik Dayyoub, strengthening cooperation in the field of health and medical education and ways to benefit from the available capabilities in this sector.

 

The Iranian Minister of Health stressed that there are no limits to the fields of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the medical, therapeutic and educational fields, proposing the establishment of a working group between the Syrian Embassy and the International Relations Department of the Iranian Ministry of Health to determine areas of cooperation.

The Iranian Minister of Health expressed his country’s readiness to provide the necessary assistance to Syria in the field of health infrastructure that was damaged by the terrorist war, pointing out that the Iranian pharmaceutical industry has achieved great progress and the Syrian side can benefit from that.

 For his part, Ambassador Dayyob stressed the importance of cooperation between the Iranian Ministry of Health and the Ministries of Health and Higher Education in Syria in the medical, educational and pharmacological fields, pointing out that it is beneficial to both sides.
