Syria, Iran discuss aspects of cooperation in health and medical education fields

TEHRAN, Feb.1, (ST)- -Iranian Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education Bahram Einollahi reviewed on Tuesday with the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran Shafiq Dayoub the means of enhancing cooperation in the fields of health and medical education and the aspects of benefiting from the available capabilities in this sector.
 
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the Iranian Minister said that there are no limits to the horizons of cooperation between Syria and Iran, particularly in the medical, therapeutic and educational fields. 
 
He suggested  the establishment of a working group between the Syrian Embassy and the International Relations Department of the Iranian Ministry of Health to define the areas of cooperation.
 
“Our country is ready to provide the necessary assistance to Syria in the field of health infrastructure that was damaged by terrorism” the Minister said, noting that the Iranian pharmaceutical industry has made great progress and the Syrian side can benefit from it.
 
For his part, Ambassador Dayoub stressed the importance of cooperation between the Iranian Ministry of Health and the Ministries of Health and Higher Education in Syria in the specific medical, educational and pharmaceutical fields.
 
The Ambassador congratulated the leadership, government and people of  Iran on the occasion of ( Fajr decade) the victory of the Islamic Revolution, wishing progress and prosperity to the country.
